Those 5 lbs.
The scale has been at 125.6 for about two weeks. I'm feeling pretty fortunate considering last weekend was a total bust. We went to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my step-father's birthday. (Have you checked the nutrtional info on that place? Everyithing is enormous and it's hard to find a meal that is under 1000 calories - CRAZY. I tried to use Hungry Girls survivial guide, http://www.hungry-girl.com/girls/biteoutdetails.php?isid=1997 but strayed when we ordered the avocado eggrolls (425 calories for ONE!). Melt was on Thursday. www.meltbarandgrilled.com Whew.
I don't feel like 126 lbs. I feel soft in my 'problem spots'. I'm wondering if it's muscle since I've been lifting. Like I posted before, I need to run more. It makes my head and body feel better but it also leans me out. I'm wondering if its age. 126 looks a lot different on a 31 year old than a 25 year old. Speaking of 25 years old, that's when I first settled into 125 lbs. After coming back from college, I worked off my freshman 15 with exercise but when I started working and going out more, I crept back up to 125. (Following another series of unforuntunate events, I crept up to 150 but that's another post). It's only been 6 years since I was 25 but it feels like a lifetime ago. Sigh... On a positive note, I must remind myself that I've lost 20 lbs. Formerly, I couldn't crack 130. I was stuck at 132 - 134 for a long time(all this number obsession)
I know that if I want to lose these last 5 lbs I have to get serious which means I have to cut out going out on a few weekends. I have to have the focus of an olympic athlete. Seriosly. Those last 5 - 10 lbs are the hardest to lose. I have great focus...Monday through Thursday.
Head stuff: I've been reading Quantum Wellness by Kathy Freston. I'm learning relaxation excercises and meditation to calm my nerves and limit my stress. I'm considering a 21 day cleanse starting after my birthday until Thanksgiving. No Sugar. No Gluten. No alchohol. No Caffiene. No Animal Products. After reading about all the damage these can do, I need a little detox. Especially before the holidays and winter.
